Submissions

Papers presenting original research on theoretical aspects of computer science are sought. The submission must not exceed ten pages (preferably in Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes [La]TeX style). If the authors believe that more details are essential to substantiate the main claims, they may include a clearly marked appendix that will be read at the discretion of the program committee. Simultaneous submission of papers to any other conference with published proceedings or submitting previously published papers is not allowed; including the case when the main part of the submission overlaps with some other paper. Electronic submission is strongly preferred. If electronic submission is not possible, 5 hard copies must be submitted and received by the deadline.

The deadline is Monday, April 2, 2001.

Electronic Submissions

The server and service for electronic submissions (and the program committee) is provided by the courtesy of Jochen Bern and University of Trier. It is the system used successfully for several STACS conferences.

The system is based on WWW forms. It works with any recent browser (like Netscape 4.x or Internet Explorer 4.x).

Prerequisites

Before you try submitting your paper, please verify that you have the following available:

Instructions

By following the link below, you will create an empty "ticket" that can then be used to perform one submission. You will get to see a WWW form allowing you to enter data. Please have your browser bookmark this form immediately. In case your work is interrupted, you can continue later by following this bookmark (which includes your ticket number).

To make your submission, you need to

(i) edit forms containing the author information, title, abstract, and keywords;
(ii) upload the file with the paper; and
(iii) submit, i.e., confirm all the data.
You can do (i) and (ii) in either order, but once you upload the file, you cannot revise (change) it. Once you submit, you cannot revise any data. If you need to withdraw the paper, please contact the PC chair directly.

Please do NOT use your browser's "back" button/key, unless explicitly told to. This ensures that your browser always displays forms containing up-to-date data.

If you have problems with using the system, please contact us. In extreme cases you can also submit by e-mail to this address (send a file with the paper and a separate ASCII file with the authors, title, abstract, and keywords).

In the forms, you will see:
>>> Red triangles (resp. ">>>") indicating that a mandatory category or field is still (partially) empty
> Green triangles (resp. ">") indicating that an optional category or field is still (partially) empty
(-) A stop sign (resp. "(-)") indicating that this category is blocked until other, mandatory categories or fields (to be found elsewhere in the same form) have been entered

Start a submission now on the secure server

If you have a problem with using the secure server, you can also use the unencrypted submission server
