Workshop Mathematics in Industry
December 11, 2019
Institute of Mathematics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Žitná 25, Prague
The aim of the workshop
The aim of the workshop is to foster cooperation between industry
and mathematicians working in academia. There will be 5 presentations
of successful collaborative projects. Most presentations will consist of a
pair of talks given by a mathematician and a representative of
industry. Besides mathematical and industrial perspective the speakers
are encouraged to describe the genesis and evolution of their project as
well as gained experiences and benefits of mutual collaboration.
Organization
The workshop is organized by the
Institute of Mathematics, Czech Academy of Sciences and
EU-MATHS-IN.cz.
In parallel with the workshop, there will be the annual meeting of the European council of the network
EU-MATHS-IN,
which aims to leverage the impact of mathematics on innovations in key technologies by enhanced communication and information exchange between and among the involved stakeholders on an European level.
The workshop will be followed by the annual meeting of the Czech network EU-MATHS.IN.CZ.
